Long Monday Ahead

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We spent most of the weekend lounging on the boat, Teddy (our dog) included. I threw on a long skirt for a bathing suit cover up and it got me thinking; for the last couple of months I have been ob-sessed with long skirts. I love effortlessly chic look of long skirts. Not only are long skirts great for beach cover ups but so many other looks as well. Here are some of my favorite long skirt looks.

1) Sheer - Date night, Going out

2) Small Stripe - Traveling, Running errands 

3) Printed -Sunday Brunch 

4) BoHo - Concert, Pic-nic, Beach cover up

5) Large Stripe- Casual outing or date 

6) Sexy Slit - Date night, Night out, Girls Night 

7) Color - Concerts, Out and about, Lunch 

8) Formal/ Sequins- Coctail party

9) Pleated- Girls Night, Dinner party

What I'm wearing: Shirt: Thrift $9, Skirt: H&M $39, Shoes: BCBG $140 

This summer can be described in one word, GO. I have been home a total of 9 days since the end of may. Needless to say I was excited for some R&R in beautiful Lake Tahoe.  Last thursday we took off from Southern California on the 12 hour drive...we stopped off half way on the central coast to visit family. Tahoe is full of so many fun things to do. One of which, is a great little miniature golf corse in Carnelian Bay. Now, if you know anything about me, I am extremely competitive when it comes to games. Unfortunately I lost by a measly 6 points but we had such a great time.

When One Door Closes

On a recent trip to Europe I took this collection of pictures. I have always been captivated by doors and their symbolism of opportunity, strength, expression.  These pictures remind me that creativity and inspiration can come from anywhere. At my house my door is a light dusty drown {boring}. Unfortunately I can not paint it due to housing association regulations. But when I am able I would love to display some lovely door art.  I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me.
