French Toast Sliders

    

Breakfast is possibly my favorite meal of the day. The problem with breakfast is there are too many delightful choices that it is hard to decide on just one. French toast sliders are perfect when you want just a taste.  Instead of using cut bread or a French loaf use a French Baguette like the one here. For a little added sweetness I substitute some of the milk for french vanilla ice cream. Enjoy

Fun Fact: French toast was also known as "Pain Perdu", the lost bread. Bread that was left over or stale was combined with wine or orange juice. It wasn't until 1870's that an egg base was used.
